FAMOUS NEIGHBOURS

Upon casual conversation with some fellow students the other day it came to my attention that Stephen Hawking lives “just around the corner” from us. Actually, his lovely home is a few blocks away from our row housing flat, but that still makes us neighbours in my book. I guess it shouldn’t come as a surprise that, being Cambridge, there are a lot of famous academics around, but I still think that’s pretty neat. It’s funny – there are very few “celebrities” (actors, musicians and the like) that I would like to have coffee with, but I can think of a long list of scholars. What can I say, I’m a dork.
