UPDATE: THE RETURN OF HOT WATER
After poor Ray being stuck home for hours keeping an eye on the repair guy, I'm thrilled to report that we've returned to the land of hot water. O happy day!

True, the fix-it guy did manage to fix-it! It took 3 calls to the 900 number in the instruction manual for him to narrow it down, but in the end he did well!
Did he ever notice the troubleshooting page that you left the manual open to?
